PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
General Comments
Collaborative Law is a unique process which offers family law clients a way to resolve their disputes in a dignified manner. It uses methods which do not involve adversarial techniques or tactics and focuses on meeting the clients' expressed goals and needs.
I believe that this process should be considered by each person who is involved in a family law dispute since it offers a means to resolve the dispute in a way that preserves and protects family relationships. I hope that Collaborative Family Law eventually will become the primary process selected by parties.
Areas of EmphasisI have practiced law for over 38 years, with a main emphasis on family law for over 30 years. I represent clients both in Collaborative Family Law and in Litigation although I prefer Collaborative Family Law because I believe it is the most beneficial approach for my clients. I also am a Mediator in the area of Family Law.
My representation of clients in family law matters includes the following areas: divorce, child custody and access, child support, property division, modifications, grandparent and nonparent access, premarital and postmarital agreements and paternity.
