PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
General Comments
Financial issues often present one of the biggest challenges to be dealt with during a divorce. It is my intention to provide a neutral, non-judgmental, non-adversarial forum in which individuals can discuss options, ask questions and become better informed about the financial impact of the numerous financial decisions which must be made in the context of divorce. It is not uncommon for couples to come to this process with disparate degrees of understanding about money and their financial lives. Better decisions will be made when both parties have a good grasp of the short-term and long-term financial ramifications of different options. It is my belief that by helping couples make more informed choices and decisions about financial issues, my work as a financial professional contributes not only toward a more equitable divorce settlement, but also increases the comfort level of both spouses and improves the likelihood that the reconfigured family will interact in a productive manner regarding financial issues post divorce. I am privileged to be working in the collaborative divorce arena along with many highly experienced attorneys and allied professionals who share my commitment to helping people resolve family law disputes in a dignified, cooperative and peaceful manner.
